JUNIOR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

THE FOLLOWING BENEFITS WILL BE PROVIDED TO SCHOOL CHILDREN SHOULD YOUR CHILD MAKE IT THROUGH AND BE SELECTED FOR A SCHOLARSHIP:

  • Scholarship recipients must reside in the Holroyd City Council area – other benefits are available to all junior members.
  • $500.00 cash paid ½ yearly to your nominated school to assist with school fees, uniforms, books etc
  • Expert tuition in the sport of Lawn Bowls
  • Free playing uniform to the value of $250.00
  • Merrylands Bowling Club is providing an excellent opportunity for your school children to develop and succeed academically and in sport.  To illustrate our commitment to the development of young people in our community we have also developed an advanced scholarship scheme. 
  • What Merrylands Bowling Club asks of your child:
  • Nominate to play Pennants for Merrylands Bowling Club
  • Play in Club Bowls events where available
  • Be prepared to spend at least one or two sessions a week training (1- 2 hours each session)
  • Continue their education at school
  • Be prepared to represent at school level
  • Always act in a proper manner when representing the Club or School
  • All benefits under the scholarship will be terminated immediately should the student be suspended from school or cease bowling for Merrylands Bowling Club.
